If I was in Maryland
I'd be down on my knees
my heart scraping the ground
'cause I used to have a lady
Yeah I used to have a lady
who tells me I'm not all that great
& that kept my feets on the ground.
If I ever get in my car & just go
I'd go to Maryland on an all night drive
& the radio will blast jazz
I will find that lady & apologize
I'm sorry, I'm sorry, so sorry
I was a fucked up asshole
& I didn't know what I had.
Alas, she'd never take me back
Never take me back & just forgive
Nothing is new is all that she can see
O Maryland I want her arms
To spread open wide & welcome me home
Her lips giving me a kiss - it's alright
O MAryland, bring her back to me I beg you
Bring that lady & my heart back to me.

I'm with Gollum, this one should definitely be a song. Perhaps (three centuries from now) it will be the anthem of Maryland? They could do a lot worse.
All of your stuff seems to cry out to be spoken or sung, IMO. You really should start a noisy band or see if you can recite it over some recorded music or whatever. Perhaps something for mp3lit.com?
take care

I've always wanted to do something with recorded music in the background but the oppotunity hadn't really came up... Someday hopefully.
